ARRHYTHMIA/SYNCOPE CENTER

AT MERCY HOSPITAL

Mercy Hospital has a state of the art diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac arrhythmia treatment center capable of the latest in cardiac mapping and ablation techniques known as the Arrhythmia/Syncope Center at Mercy Hospital.

Currently, most hospitals in Miami-Dade County perform electrophysiologic studies of the heart in a traditional Hospital-based inpatient cardiac catheterization laboratory.  The Center at Mercy is an outpatient hospital-based facility designed for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmia and syncope of the heart.  Full evaluation of the heart includes tilt table testing, cardioversions, comprehensive EPS studies including mapping studies and ablation techniques, cardiac rhythm management including programming of implantable devices, device follow-up and secondary implant insertions (battery changes) for both pacemakers, defibrillators and heart failure divices
